Synopsis: - Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com
After the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons that leveled Chicago, humanity thinks that all alien robots are a threat. So Harold Attinger, a CIA agent, establishes a unit whose sole purpose is to hunt down all of them. But it turns out that they are aided by another alien robot who is searching for Optimus Prime. Cade Yeager, a "robotics expert", buys an old truck and upon examining it, he thinks it's a Transformer. When he powers it up, he discovers it's Optimus Prime. Later, men from the unit show up looking for Optimus. He helps Yeager and his daughter Tessa escape but are pursued by the hunter. They escape and Yeager learns from technology he took from the men that a technology magnate and defense contractor named Joshua Joyce is part of what's going on, so they go to find out what's going on.
The Director Michael Bay was chosen to direct this film as he has produced all the other Transformers movies. If they changed Director the film would have possibly not related to the other films and would stand out in the franchise for all the wrong reasons. He is also the Director for many films that have been quite successful, such as: The Purge. He is also the producer for many other famous films. Friday the 13th is one of the most famous films that he has produced.
This film used many famous actors to draw in audience members who usually wouldn't watch these types of films. If an audience member sees an actor that they follow or particularly like, they may be inclined to go and see this film because of the actors within.
Mark Wahlberg, for example, is particularly famous for many films. Ted 1 and 2 are prime examples. If audience member likes the Ted films, they may go and see Transformers because they used Mark for the protagonist in both Transformers and Ted.
Actors are very important for a Franchise because if an actor for a specific character changes within the film, audience members may be confused and would feel as if that the film is not the same as previous films.
The Production Company may be very important for the production of the film. Similar to the actors, if an audience member is a fan of previous Paramount Pictures movies, they may want to watch this film because they like other Paramount movies. The choice of the company is also very important. It is important that films use a famous Production Company because of their popularity. By using a Production Company that is not well known, the film may suffer in Gross and also Popularity.
Audience members may want to see critical reviews before seeing the film as they may not want to waste their money. Especially for such a low-rated film. Audiences may visit review websites to also see reviews on the Director or the Production Company.
I personally haven't seen the film however, by reading the reviews I would not be inclined to see this film as it seems that it is a repetitive franchise. However, the Trailer looks action packed and entertaining. The Production Company is also a company that I personally like and I still may watch the film to see if the reviews are accurate.
